WHAT IS....

The Mission

Our mission is to share and demonstrate the life-transforming love and grace of Jesus Christ to the students of the greater Union County area. NextGen will lovingly support and encourage youth on the journey to live out God’s best plan for their life. We want every student to BE SEEN, BE HEARD, BE KNOWN, BE LOVED, BELONG, and, most importantly, EXPERIENCE LIFE AND RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS CHRIST. The sole purpose of our programs is to pour into the lives of students and help them become who God created them to be. Every program is created with the overall mission of the Hope Center in mind and focused on supporting the students of the greater Union County area as we push them to pursue a hopeful future.

The Vision

Our vision is to provide a place where every student is welcome, despite differences, beliefs, and identity, to find community, belonging, and purpose through the redemptive love of Jesus Christ. NextGen programs are designed to create a safe, fun, and exciting place for students to learn, grow, and explore. We envision a future Union County that is being led, shaped, and changed by today’s students, who are passionately chasing after Jesus and acting out of love towards each other. We are empowering students to dream big by living life with them, equipping them, and sending them out to the community.

Director of NextGen Ministries

Caleb grew up in Plain City, but spent his summers working in Marysville and much of his free time serving the greater Madison and Union counties through various organizations. He currently lives on the campus of The Ohio State University.

Caleb is passionate about serving and supporting the students of the greater Union County area by building relationships with them, creating opportunities for them, and pointing them to Jesus.

Caleb enjoys spending his time outside and with friends or family, he’s almost always up to something. During the warmer months he can often be found by a campfire, on the porch or in a hammock. If it’s too cold to be outside, he can probably be found in a coffee shop or local restaurant. If it’s above 50 degrees outside, his car windows are probably down.

Caleb can be reached by email at nextgen@hopecenterohio.org or by phone/text at (614) 549-2260.
